DATES, TIMES AND ADMISSION
Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th September 2013
Open from 10.00am to 5.00pm both days.
Admission: Adults £5, children (4-15) £3, family (2+2) £14.
A heritage bus service operates between Ainsdale station and the exhibition:
Saturday Pick up at Ainsdale Station at 18 & 48 mins past the hour. First bus at 1018, last bus at 1618.
The return times from Birkdale High School are at 33 & 03 mins past the hour, last bus at 1703
Sunday 29th September is the first Sunday of Merseyrail’s new timetable. The train frequency is now half-hourly and the times change:
Sunday Pick up at Ainsdale Station is at 05 & 35 mins past the hour. First bus at 1005, last bus at 1605.
The return times from Birkdale High School are at 20 & 50 mins past the hour, last bus at 1650
The heritage buses are provided free by Merseyside Transport Trust, and operated by volunteers. For further details visit their website mttrust.co.uk.
Access to the visitors' car park is from the A565 Liverpool Rd opposite Nixon's Lane (a left turn coming from Liverpool).
The postcode is PR8 3ES.
A one-way system operates, with cars entering opposite Nixon's Lane and leaving via Windy Harbour Rd.
2013 CUP WINNERS
Each year at the exhibition we award cups to the best layouts on show.
The winners for 2013 were:

Best scenics: Great Western Railroad (Raven Miniatures)
Best rolling stock: Kirkby Stephen West (Ian Macdonald and Martin Wright)
Best N-gauge: New Bridge Junction (Norman Beaumont)
Best Southport member's 'Layout in a Box' - Derek Pratt's 'Pendle Pearlie Mine'.
