After many years of large weekend-long exhibitions, we have in recent times reverted to smaller, one-day shows, held twice a year in a local church hall.
The April one is aimed at modellers and the November one at families, although both categories of visitor will find much of interest at either show.
Our most recent show was on Saturday 28th April 2018.
The layouts attending included:
Millfield Yard (N gauge) - Pauline McKenna
Clairmont Old Quay (O-16.5) - Southport MRS
Matthew & Son, Engineers (009) - Tony Ennis
Dunlakin (N) - Terry Tasker
Bonnington Goods (OO) - Robert Rowlands
Tan-Yr-Allt (009) - John (Stan) Williams
Llangurig - Colin Oldfield
Loch Syd (OO) - Peter Mills
Uppercwmtych (N) - Les Ehrlich
Melrose End (OO) - Brian Davis
Funville (OO) - Ian Coules
Fall Back Creek (HO) - Ian Donkin
- plus a demonstration of weathering techniques.
In addition Southport Model Engineering Club gave rides behind a live steam engine.
The show is signposted from major routes into Southport.
All Saints church hall is in Park Rd, adjacent to Hesketh Park. A car park is available.
